What will you do in this job?

THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND, BENEFIT-ELIGIBLE ROLE THAT IS BASED IN ALASKA. LEGAL ABILITY TO WORK IN THE U.S. IS REQUIRED.  THIS IS A FLEXIBLE/HYBRID OPPORTUNITY, BUT NOT OFFERED AS A 100% REMOTE ROLE.

 

The IT Infrastructure Manager, Alaska Collection is tasked with managing technology network installation, support and ongoing operations across all Alaska Collection properties. This position coordinates with all business partners to provide optimal IT services through Pursuit.

This position will proactively find ways to support infrastructure operations and The Alaska Collection (TAC) IT division including ticket management and monitoring for issues in your geography. 

 

Wage Range: $75,000 - $90,000

  • Primary responsibility is the installation of and day to day support of IT services for all Alaska Collection properties
  • Supervises all IT Infrastructure staff
  • Implement IT projects
  • Advanced technical support for all IT issues and challenges
  • Responds to and investigates all major and minor IT or system issues
  • Submits change control requests as appropriate
  • Makes recommendations to management on need for new equipment and any necessary upgrades to existing infrastructure, to meet the demands of business and the underlying network infrastructure
  • General technical trouble shooting and consultation with team
  • Plans and prepares for the growth of Infrastructure
  • Maintains current systems; including hardware support, software support and applications of all systems
  • Work independently to perform aforementioned tasks
  • Performs other duties as required

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Information Technology degree, related education preferred, certifications helpful.
  • Minimum 3 years IT Administrative experience
  • Experience in desktop computing, and applications specific to hospitality industry
  • Combination of experience and education that mirrors job duties
  • A positive team attitude and strong interpersonal and guest service skills required for effectively communicating with all personnel; both verbally and written
  • Experience in desktop computing, Point of Sale systems, and applications specific to hospitality industry helpful. IE: Maestro PMS, Retail Pro, and Micros
  • VMWare and other virtualization platforms experience helpful
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and technical skills
  • Ability to provide fast, efficient quality services to business partners
  • Knowledge and understanding of PCI compliance helpful
  • Network support experience helpful
  • Point to Point Wireless knowledge/experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communication, peer training and written documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive customer service and team attitude
  • Ability to provide quality services and support to business partners
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

This role is based in Anchorage, AK. Legal ability to work in the US is required. Please note that this role is not 100% remote.
