What will you do in this job?

Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service at the Denali Backcountry Adventures. As a Park Road Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting guests and providing a high quality of service at all times. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities such as:

  • Provide accurate interpreted natural and cultural history narratives of the Denali National Park experience
  • Implement operational processes which support and control the transportation system, such as vehicle maintenance, dispatching and regulatory administration
  • Transport guests to and from Denali Backcountry Lodge, Denali Cabins, Denali Train Depot and other properties as assigned
  • Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants and accessories
  • Maintain a shift / trip driving documentation log

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in guiding or interpretive presentations viewed advantageously
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to move and lift supplies, equipment and tools weighing 50 pounds or  more
  • Must possess a Class “B” CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements
  • Two years of prior commercial driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
